Administration
Roles and permissions: who sees what
Permissions are built on roles, not on individuals. Define a role once and assign it to whoever needs it — so you are not re-configuring access for every new hire.
Steps
- From team settings, open Roles.
- Create a role or edit an existing one, setting which modules it sees and what it can change.
- Assign the role to the members concerned.
- Review roles periodically, especially after a structural change or a departure.
Worth knowing
- Start with the least access that lets the work happen, and widen it when needed. The reverse is harder.
- Finance and reports need the most care — govern them with an explicit role rather than by default.
