Finance
From a quote to an invoice
Finance is inside the platform, not a second program. A quote becomes an invoice with no re-entry, and the invoice stays linked to the project and client it came from.
Steps
- From the Finance module, create a quote and pick the client.
- Add the line items with quantities and prices, and check the total and tax.
- Send it and follow its state: sent, under review, accepted.
- When it is accepted, convert it into an invoice rather than typing it again — the lines carry over as they are.
- Link the invoice to its project, so every project has its financial picture beside its tasks.
Worth knowing
- Check the lines before sending, not after acceptance. Changing a line after acceptance is a hard conversation.
- A quote unanswered for a week needs a follow-up, not patience. Chase it from the client record.
