Reading the reports and deciding from them
Reports here read the same data your team works in — not a file assembled by hand at month end. Which means they are exactly as true as your daily recording is disciplined.
Steps
- Open the Reports module and choose the period you want to read.
- Start with revenue and receivables, then drill into a client or a project.
- Compare the period with the one before it rather than an absolute figure — the trend matters more than the number.
- Leave every review with one written decision as a task with an owner, not a general remark.
Worth knowing
- If a number looks odd, recording is usually incomplete rather than the report wrong. Check invoices not linked to a project.
- One report read regularly every month is worth more than ten opened once.
