Projects and clients
The client record: from first contact to after delivery
The client record holds everything about them in one place: contact details, their conversations, projects, quotes and invoices. A client’s history stops living in one employee’s head.
Steps
- From the Clients module, add a client: name, entity and how to reach them.
- Log every contact as it happens — the call, the meeting, the quote you sent.
- Link their projects to them, so the record becomes a work history rather than a contact card.
- Read the record before any meeting with them. Five minutes of reading spares an awkward question.
Worth knowing
- A client who has not replied for a month is not necessarily lost — but they will not come back on their own. Follow up from their record.
- When an employee leaves, the client record is what remains. Make logging a habit, not an exception.
